Newcastle

Today I flew from Brisbane to Newcastle. I wasn't sure what to think or feel. Anxious. Nervous. Happy. I did know though that I was excited but at the same time I hoped I wasn't going to be murdered. Lol.

Kim and the kids dropped me off at the airport. J stayed home waiting for my sister to pick her up. In that time she managed to help herself to food. Made a sandwich. Then she convinced Kim to make her another sandwich not knowing that J had already helped herself to one already. Js good at getting people to feed her haha. Lucky I wasn't around.

Got to the airport and the gate my flight was leaving from was already filled with people. Apparently it was everyone coming home. It was a quick 1 hour 15 minute flight. Ordered myself a Pepsi max as we left. Most expensive drink ever but totally worth it. Lol. A baby cried the whole flight though, poor thing. I'm guessing he had sore ears.

When my flight landed I nearly needed a nervous pee. Once off the plane I got into the airport and I was totally fine. Not nervous at all. The airport is in the middle of nowhere and Newcastle is actually famous for coal. Wouldn't have known that so you learn something new everyday.

We arrived into the CBD and once we managed to find where we were staying, the carpark, the apartment entrance and the key we'd checked in all okay. Well kinda checked in. It's an apartment so you kinda check yourself in. It's actually a really nice apartment and I'd totally live in an apartment like this. Has everything you need. Amazing views. Space for people to stay. Minimalist living but not to the point where you can't make it a home.

Grabbed some subway and now I'm chilling out feeling like I need an early night. It will also be nice to sleep somewhere that isn't a couch or a kids bed haha.

Who knows how the rest of the trip will go but so much can happen in 3 days, time will tell.

Picnic In The Park

Good day today. Kids woke me up and wanted cuddles in bed again. I'll miss them when I leave but it's nice they're all so affectionate and love having me here.

Today we all went down to the park for a picnic. Sister and the girls didn't come but it was still a fun day. It was way too hot though and we totally should have gone later in the day.

As we left the park I was feeling rather sick and light headed. Not sure what was up with that. Came home, sat myself under the air con and ended up in bed for the next couple hours feeling gross.

Brother is sick too soo unless we ate something bad, who knows what the heck is wrong. I've been having a lazy night and haven't done anything at all. Skipped dinner as I'm feeling way too sick to eat but I have been smashing back lots of ginger beer.

This heat has been crazy. It's muggy more than anything else. Apparently I need to climatise myself because it's why I'm feeling the heat way more than anyone else.

All in all a good day. Tomorrow I head to Newcastle for a few days. Excited. Nervous, but looking forward to the trip. I will have to make sure to take photos galore. It'll be my first ever visit there.

Parties On

Today was a fun day. I was torn between dressing up and not dressing up. Glad I didn't, it was hot as a mofo today and I don't think I'd have been able to handle the heat.

The theme was super heroes and almost everyone was dressed up, at least all the kids were.

We all ate way too much food. Laughed. Played games. Ate too much cake. Jumped on the bouncy castle. Painted our faces. Kim did an awesome job of setting it all up.

Such a fun day! Now I'm about to spam you all with photos.

Birthday Girl

Last year we missed her birthday by a day, this year I wanted to make it work so we could celebrate her birthday with her.
J and I were super shattered and managed to sleep till 830am. Woke up and Roimata came for cuddles then J and I showered before having some breakfast.

It's been a quiet but good day. Roimata got a few presents today but her actual party isn't till tomorrow so will be posting photos galore then.

All in all a good quiet day. I will say this though, my brother and sister in law need another car. Someone needs to win lotto and we need to get these people a 7 seater. There's just no space for us all.

Happy birthday to my amazing niece who turns a big 6 today. Have an awesome day birthday girl. Aunty loves you.

Brisbane Bound

J and I arrived into Brisbane at 520 this morning by 545 we had collected our luggage and were already waiting for my sister to pick us up.

It was a really good flight this time round. The photo and being brave to show her family really worked. J also managed to get some sleep all over me which was good. I didn't get any and by the time 7am had rolled around I was shattered. I tried to get some sleep but the kids just wanted to hang out and the one time Kim took the kids out J and Roimata decided I didn't need sleep and woke me 5 million times lol.

Tipene, Roimata and I then spent the afternoon together. They both said they wanted time alone with me but neither one of them wanted to go last. Tipene then asked me to make him an airplane then told me it didn't work because it wasn't flying haha. Fun afternoon with the kids. Will have to make a plan to spend some time with my sisters girls as well. Busy few days with my family, my nieces birthday tomorrow and her party Saturday then maybe a chilled Sunday before I fly to Newcastle Monday.

I need sleep and I need food. Sooo tired!

Last Day

Today was our last day in Perth. It was a crazy busy for some weird reason. We had a fun day though.

Hung with Sophie this morning. Grocery shopped for a BBQ that only Aunty, J and I ate but was totally awesome. J and I hung out with Raiden and Riley while we got our hair done, again. It was an awesome day.

Now we are sitting in the airport waiting to board our flight to Brisbane. I'm hoping J is settled on this flight. I've packed her snacks, cards, movies and we've made sure she takes a photo for the fam bamz showing them how brave she is. By the time we land I'll have been awake nearly 24 hours. I have a feeling I'm going to spend the day awake and then crash out early with the kids tomorrow night.

About to board... Roll on the next 10 days of fun and adventure.

Girls Day

Spent the day with J today. She got a mole check and we also went and saw Pitch perfect 3. It wasn't too bad of a movie though not sure if I'd have paid to go see it.

Later that night we all went to girls dinner at The Sov. Good food. I also sober drove so only had 1 drink. All in all it was a good day.

We head to Brisbane tomorrow night for 10 days before we fly home. Looking forward to seeing my family.

New Year. New Life.

So apparently I suck at updating this thing and every year I make it a goal to post more regularly and for the first few weeks I do amazingly then life gets in the way and I fail soo here I am starting again, for the millionth time.

2017 was a bit of a crazy one. Earlier in the year I met and fell in like with a guy who I thought wanted the same things as me. Turns out he didn't. I was okay with that and moved on. I've been told I can be ruthless when it comes to cutting people off but I've always said life is too short to have bad people in your life.

I spent a lot of 2017 with BFFs girls and having play dates with another friends daughter. We had fun. I've spent a lot of time with this family and always love our Tuesday play dates and random hang out days/nights.

My relationship with my family has been awesome. Both immediate and extended. There were times where it was a bit touch and go but for the most part my relationship with my family has been awesome.

I went through a lot of stages with my weight. Trying new programs. Cutting out different food. Eating more of one food. For some reason though, I really struggled with trying to find something that worked for me. I did however cut back on the alcohol and that really helped.  It wasn't until September and a hospital appointment I had that kicked me into the right frame of mind.  I started doing intermittent fasting and I've never looked back. Almost 4 months now and I'm still going strong.

Trachy wise I still have it. I had a huge surgery done back in November and ended up spending 3 weeks in there. I am at the stage right now where there is a high chance the trachy could come out soon. I have a hospital appointment a few days after I arrive home from Aussie soo we will see how that all goes. I'm excited but I'm also hesitant as well because I don't want to get my hopes up until they actually take the trachy out.

Relationships. They've always been a touch and go with me. Wade came back into my life a little while ago but I think he's at that stage in his life where he's lonely and perhaps feels like he wants something more from me. I've not heard from him in a couple months and to be honest I don't think I will and I'm okay with that.

I have also been chatting with a guy the last little while. I don't know what it is, if anything but for now we are enjoying getting to know each other. We have plans to meet up so it could either be a make it or break it kind of situation. I will have to keep posting on this one if anything does decide to progress.

2018 is going to be my best year yet. My whole life can change in the next couple months and I'm super excited to see how it all turns out. New hair.  New life. New people. What more could a girl want.
