Surgery

This morning I got a call from the Hospital to say that surgery is all booked in starting 7th March. It will be done every 2 weeks for 4 sessions.  So I will be making several trips to Auckland. I'm glad at least that I am only going to North Shore but am really hoping that this surgery makes a difference.

Jacqui will be injecting steroids directly into the scar tissue that is joining my vocal cords together.  We are hoping that with doing this it stops the scarring from joining everything back together. I will also be given some medication that helps with this as well.

There are days I am totally over all of my surgery but then there are days where I am happy and loving live here in the far north though if I'm being honest I am missing work and the socialising that goes with working so hopefully this surgery is a success and I can progress and move on with my life... though I'm still torn between living here and living in Australia.  First things first though get everything fixed and sorted with surgery.

TM Update

Three days ago I was at 13 ad packs. Today I'm back at 13 after one of my packs dropped off. My next one doesn't drop off for another $7 soo going to make sure I can get to 15 ad packs to get me out of the 11-13 packs "rut" I keep getting stuck in before my next one drops off leaving me with at least 14 ad packs so here is hoping.  Wish me luck.

Horeke Regatta

So awesome to see this video of the Horeke Regatta.  I was only 6 when this was on but Papa is in the video though.  He's the one with the white overall things doing the tug of war.  A few other familiar faces as well.  If only the regatta continued to be this awesome as the years went on.

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to one of the most amazing kids I have ever known.  I am missing my "kids" like crazy and sad I didn't get to see Sam this year for his birthday.  I can't believe how much he's grown over the years and I can't believe that next year he's going to be a teenager.  Eek!  Missing you like crazy Sam but I hope you have an amazing birthday.  I love you x.

TM Update

Haven't done one of these in a while but today I'm nearly at 12 weeks in since joining TM.  I've reached a total of 15 ad packs and currently have 13 active ad packs.  Not too bad for 12 weeks if I do say so myself. 

TM are having a few issues at the moment with payment processors and also trying to sort out their finances and whether or not to things will be sorted with the bank that they planning on opening.  I'm still not too sure how I feel about it at the moment but for now I'm not using money to purchase anything instead I am using my repurchase balance. 

Will be interesting to see how the next few weeks or even month pan out with TM.

Friends Day

Sometimes FB share amazing things sometimes not so much but today I LOVED that they shared these videos soo to all of the people in my life to all the AMAZING but small group of friends I have in my life I LOVE you all!  :)

Here's to many more years of friendship together.

Blackberries

Nan and I decided to go and pick blackberries today as the neighbour had mentioned he had got some up the road soo today we decided to make our way out to see what we could find. 

I thought I would be awesome and go in jandals, never again.  Silly idea really especially since how was I meant to pick them with the thorns stabbing into my toes and legs.  I had dreams of getting a massive bucket of blackberries but those dreams were shattered pretty quickly once we realised that the neighbour only told us about the blackberries after he had taken the WHOLE lot haha! 

We still had fun and nice to do something together though.

Long Weekend

Had an awesome long weekend with Aunty Sharron, J and Nan.  LOVED spending time with them and can't wait to do it again soon.  I did miss our every single day of cards but it was nice to be able to get up north and do some fishing. 

Today is a day of relaxing with a mix of chores as we've been neglecting it the last few days with Aunty being here but good to relax and then eventually also get back into the swing of things.  No bad food this weekend either though I could really go for some ice cream right about now... hmmm.  I wonder if it's too late to grab some? lol.

Raiden

Aunty Sharron and J are here again for the long weekend!  Aunty Sharron is a grandmother now and LOVES her moko.  Nan being the photo person that she is Aunty Sharon made sure to bring back a photo for Nan to add to her collection.

Raiden makes the 20th great grandkid I think with another still to come.  Can't wait for all of us to get together as a family and hopefully have EVERYONE here!
